Hey guys, recently I received major help on this site and I want to pay it forward to the community.
My Niece asked for a authentic Vampirina Ukulele (Disney show thing) so I worked something up quick in Fusion 360. I have the body, a fretboard, neck with a generic headstock (requires a further template or something) and neck pocket template ready to be printed. I might need a little more work before sharing them. But to gauge interest im putting the fact that its happening out there. If anyone has a daughter/niece thats interested, ill send the files over to you for free once finished.
Would also be fun if we all added improvement and sent them around to each other so these kids can get something even more incredible.
I'm also pretty sure Disney would never allow the sale of this type of thing, so it really makes sense to send this out for free to be expanded on.
-20" scale electric ukulele (4 string guitar makes more sense)
-Will consider adding a 28.8" scale bass on a second instrument
-Plan is to use Mary Kaye white on the body for a ghostly look with olympic white on the sides and edges for a slight burst.
-The mouth actually creates a natural contour for your arm to rest
-I'm using glitter/swirly epoxy colors for the eye lashes, mouth, and eyes. The pupils (crosses) will be the knobs.
-Pickup is going to be two triangle positioned single coils under a 3D printed or CNC milled wooden nose.
-Considering adding those saddle pickups for slightly more versatility as this kid grows and learns about computers.
-I really want it to be good enough that it encourages her to have fun while learning to play (if thats her thing) without becoming to convoluted and confusing her.
Any thoughts?
