PDbass plays Anthony Jackson’s Basses

Anhoony Jackson is fantastic, indeed! That matters to me. And for those that can not hear that, god bless them.
That said, I had a stock '70 jazz bass body (all original pups, bridge, electronics) with a '78 P neck 30 years ago and it sounded fantastic but nothing like anthony's career girl. Was it in his fingers? I guess so. RIP dear Anthony J.

It was in his fingers, but AJ used fantastic rigs and even his cables were boutique.

Wow.

First of all, pdbass is not a gear channel. I don’t feature equipment reviews or demo instruments. It’s not my thing. I apologize for not doing a full run-down with measurements.

Secondly, holding my hero’s basses was an overwhelming, incredible thing. I had no desire to rip my best licks on what I considered a holy relic. I wanted to hold it, smell it, look at it, and play the longest notes possible. It was more than just playing. Also, I’m sure I would have heard about how bad I played or how I sounded nothing like Anthony, etc. Yeah, no thanks.

Third, the gear thing definitely happened (even after checking everything, sir) which is often unavoidable. Thankfully Danette was able to help me out and I got something out of the trip to post.

It’s one of my most personal videos and something I needed to do to thank Danette for letting me in the room, so to speak. I never cared about how many views it got. As for the clickbait, it’s a necessary evil and solely meant to get through the algorithm rather than offend anyone on a personal level, which it often seems to do. If I did somehow disappoint you or anyone in that regard, I sincerely apologize.

Onwards and upwards.

Ha, well I'm glad to know you did indeed check it.

Good on you for responding, you certainly didn't have to. I think we all appreciate how much your trip meant to you.
