Hey guys, I'm back!
I'm exhausted, but I can say it was the most meaningful gig of my life. I played for as many as 1500-2000 troops at one time, all the way to as few as one guy in a hospital room, recovering from wounds recieved in action. I'll never forget those kids.
I played on two continents, five countries to people from over 30 nations. I saw things others just wont see. I slept a night in one of Saddam's palaces. I got so see all aspects of fighting a war, from the troops on the ground to the Air Operations Centers. And I got to bring a little piece of home to everywhere I went. I have the best job in the world!!
We got into San Antonio last night, and before we got to the section where our families were, we passed a small group of people who started clapping for us (just like in that ad)...truly humbling.
