Peavey 1516 1810 1820 ?

Anybody got any specs or info on the old Peavey 1516, 1810 , and 1820 two way cabs?? And maybe any info on any others of the two way Peavey cabs, I may have missed here??
These old dogs were some of the best sounding cabs Peavey ever put out IMHO.

Also looking for info, and anybodys experiences with the old Peavey MAX Mullti-Access 800 watt amp head. These were the ones that had a CS800 as the power section, and a pre-amp front end. Weighed close to a ton, and came in their own Road Rack Case.

I dunno, but if you do the internal volume and tuning measurements you can possibly put other drivers into them that match those well, and take them up a level yet. I know I found the tens to bottom out easily, so if I wanted more useable headroom with a high-wattage rig I'd be looking at them. And if running a tube head I'd be looking at Webers and the like.

For the woofer Peavey themselves have a couple of improved models for higher-wattage use that would also go a little lower in the bargain.

Actually Peavey provides a guide with the exact model numbers (since they've made umpteen gazillion driver specs that does mean something), and the T-S specs for all the ones still in use as retrofits (they sub some better-spec'd drivers in some models) or original equipment are available in the same guide.

Also depending on duty cycle a better crossover is easy to come by.

The 1516 I had was loaded with a 1502-4 Black Widow, not as much excursion as the 1505, I think. I actually measured the box and tried to look for possible improvements but the box ended up being pretty small after you remove the vol. taken up by the sealed 2x8. Was a relatively compact cabinet but still heavy as hell.

Actually, there never were Scorpion 8s. They were a stamped frame driver from I don't know where ;) [note to self: read the rest of the thread before posting...]
The 1810s also had the same speaker compliment as the 1820. The difference was about an additional two and a half inches of vertical space in the 1820's low end partition. The weight was listed as 122 lbs...I don't doubt it! I lugged a pair of those up stairs and down, by my little self, for 13 years. Other than the surrounds coming unglued, they were (duh) stone reliable. Looked cool, too...

Speaking as a guy who just took posession of a HUGE(by talkbass standards) Peavey demo rig, I'd like to see the 1810 come back. If I recall, it was the smaller of the two 1810/1820 boxes. I had one for a while, used to run it biamped with a twist: tens were full range, eighteen was a sub.
