Should there be one?? Because here's a photo of Nick Chargin of the Stinkfoot Orchestra with Zappa alumnus Napoleon Murphy Brock in front of what appears to be a Peavey MK-III bass head.
Can I get confirmation on this? Don't know if it's the 400B or the 400G, from this vantage point I can't tell...

With Count Bassie's post, there is a Peavey amp club now! My very first amp, like a lot of old as dirt bass players, was a TKO-65. My current amp is a MiniMax V2, going into an SWR Goliath III 410. Never in the history of the world has about 6 pounds been so thunderously loud and still sound good!

I recently picked a MiniMaxV2 and love it. even though the fan is kinda loud. Other than that it's small, powerful takes effects well and seems to be built like a tank. A keeper for sure.

That's different than the Fender Bassman 300 Pro/Sunn 300T?
And how do you like the Alphabass? Have you gigged with it? How would you compare it with the Ampeg V4-B? Similar power, right?

Yes not the Fender/Sunn 300t. It looks like an old school Bassman Much more reliable and much warmer sounding. Normal and crunch channels that can be blended. As for the Alpha Bass 160 watts so almost double a V4-B 9 band Graphic EQ that can be switched in or out plus normal low/Mid And Treb comrols. I used it at an outdoor event with a GK Neo 212 II cab and it was plenty loud and sounded great. I had a V4-B and I did like it nice and warm but not SVT like it did not have that mid grind of an SVT . And the V4-B jad plenty of power if you are playing with people that know how to control volume levels and a sane drummer.

No pics at the moment, but I use a Peavey Maxbass pre-amp into a Peavey IPR2 3000 power amp.

Ok, hear ya go - this is an older picture with the first generation IPR 3000 power amp (I replaced it with an IPR 2 3000 which is blackfaced, instead of silver). The top space in my rack holds a blacklight.

I had one of those power amps. It was light and reliable, and the lights were cool! Shoulda kept it...

The new Peaveys seen pretty popular. I've never been a Class D guy, but these folks seen to have had a ton of experience making good sounding, road-tough amps. So I glad they're in the game!
