Details

Up for sale is my gorgeous 2003 USA made Peavey Cirrus 5 string.

Here are a few key features:
-18V Millenium pre-amp with sweepable mids
-Maple Quilt top on an Alder body
-35" scale length
-Ebony fingerboard, 24 frets
-Wooden control knobs
-Gold colored hardware
-Standard Dunlop strap locks

It's in very good condition, but for the sake of full disclosure, it has a few minor dings and scratch that I tried to capture in the pictures, and the truss rod cover at the headstock is missing in action. There are no major issues to speak of. It's incredibly versatile and overall an incredible sounding and playing bass. The craftsmanship on these certainly gives pricier customs a run for their money.

There is a lot of information, reviews, and sound samples on Talkbass and Youtube, but if there's anything I can provide you about this instrument specifically, please let me know and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.

Will ship to the lucky buyer with the original Peavey hard shell, molded case.

CONUS shipping, paypal preferred.

No trades please.

Price drop, plus I wanted to note that included in the sale are matching gold Dunlop strap locks that attach to your strap, so you don't have to worry about going out and buying a new set.

Hey Gang, check out the sounds clips, and if you have any EQ requests let me know and I'll post them up!

I've got some nibbles on this sweet bass, but nothing solid just yet. At this price point the sound, playability, aesthetic .... the whole package is tough to beat.

Someone will be VERY happy with this bass !!
KILLER sound clips, brother ! Great price, too !!!

This is a " $5,000 bass " in a world where basses are measured against each other with no name on the headstock ...

Gonna try to get some better audio samples up this week. It sounds like I set the gain too high going into Garage Band

BUMP!

Personally, I think the sound samples sounded great, but if you can make some that sound even better, well more power to you. It's a Cirrus ; these were made for recording with ! I've NEVER heard one that sounded bad.

Thanks Michael!

The Tiger Eye is certainly made for recording, with it's "studio quiet" electronics. On the other hand, I am no recording engineer! I hear the low end distorting a bit on those recordings, and that is NOT representative of the bass, just my poor recording skills. I overloaded the gain of Garage Band when made those clips, and I don't want people to think there is anything but clean sounds coming out of this bass!!!

Thank you again!

Taking offers ....

I hear you, buddy. I TOTALLY agree that when recording with the Cirrus you get CRYSTAL CLEAR results, and anything less than perfection is the fault of the engineer.

I remember we had a recording session back in 2008 and the drums and all the guitards took a long time to dial in their tone. When it was my turn, I plugged my Cirrus into the studio's Ampeg SVT Classic and played an open A and the engineer said, "Well, we're all done with you." Yup, the Cirrus is a pro level bass 100% and I congratulate the buyer in advance for making such a wise choice.
