Peavey Millenium...USA'S???

Not made in US anymore. The best you can do if you want a new US model is to look on Ebay for NOS that pop up occasionally. However, you'll find some great deals on used ones here and elsewhere. The current Indonesian models are not bad at all for the price. The used US models are some of the best basses for the money that you will find anywhere ! (And thats about as uncontested a statement about any bass as you will find on TB :smug:) Good luck in your search.

I own a 2000 USA Peavey Millennium, and it is awesome. It has a very good preamp (one that I believe you can only find on a current custom shop cirrus) and all of the hardware is top notch. I beleive they stopped making them in 02 or 03, but you can find some used ones for cheap. Mine was $330, that is down from what I believe to be a more that $1000 price tag when it came out. Go millennium.

Look on Ebay and keeps youor eyes open around town. OKC is a pretty big city, I'm sure there some popping up. I don't currently own a Millennium, but that may change since I will likely buy mine back!:hiding:

The USA Millenniums are better basses in every way imaginable. Better woods, electronics, fit & finish, tuners, bridges, etc. These were originally $1,100-$1,800 basses when they first came out. Besides the Cirrus line, the Millenniums were the last upscale basses Peavey made in the USA.

I will echo the above sentiments. The USA Milleniums are incredible instruments. Such a bastidge...I picked up a NOS Millenium JJ-with case-new, thanks to a post by a TB member...for about $350..including shipping and an SKB/Peavey labeled case. List price was about $1400 for this bass.

For myself and, obviously, many others, the Millenium (USA) series was too close in price to the, IMHO, superior Cirrus series, to merit much consideration. Yes, they were, and are, awesome basses. It was just that theire price point was too close to the Cirrus.

I love my Millenium (and all of the other Peavey basses that have come looking for a home) and would encourage any player to try/buy one.
