Peavey on sale at MF

I use it. If you're plan is to downsize, I think you can do better, because it's pretty damn big and heavy.

On its own merits though:

It's loud. Damn Loud. It's pretty versatile, lots of eq options. It sounds very nice, or very evil, depending on your taste. Its reliable. Its loud. I actually really like the distortion on it, very dynamic.

Also, people will tell you that it weighs the moon, but its really not THAT bad. I can carry it myself, and I'm not a big guy. It is awkwardly wide to carry, but it's not too bad. Don't be fooled by the wattage listed, it isn't 600 watts, but I play in a doom band and it doesn't break a sweat while practicing on its own, and has no problems during gigs with the extension.

I'm in the exact opposite situation from you. I just recently ( yesterday or the day before) made a thread about my TNT, and questions regarding adding an extension cabinet and things of that sort.
I'm thinking I may sell mine and get something a bit bigger.. Moving in the opposite direction of you.. But I will say that it's a really badass amp. Everything from Bassic was right on. It's got great tone and volume, in my opinion. For its range, I think you can't do much better.
