Have any of y'all ever come across a Patriot with gold hardware from the factory? I just recently picked this up, and I'm curious as to whether the bling is stock.

Then it is very likely factory, those parts are Peavey only.yep.

Wow, the drawing on the pick guard makes me sad, but the paint is stunning, honestly.
Thanks! Its a sticker, Im going to remove it at some point...
That bass is so beautiful .Here's a custom job for you. I got this bass a while back, i thought I'd share it here. It was shipped in its case, no box, all taped up. Thanks to the bombproof, yet unhandy original HSC it arrived unscathed...

Have any of y'all tried installing a neck position Rickenbacker pickup on a Patriot?
I put another SF in the Ric spot. That was my intention from the jump and is fully why I had to get a Patriot--to make a Ric sounding instrument for a non-Ric guy (me!).Have any of y'all tried installing a neck position Rickenbacker pickup on a Patriot?

I found a killer 87 and routed it out for the pickup, side jack and 3-way switch. I later found a wide nut 85 neck and Hipshot Xtender for it. I love it!
Here's some pics from it's original '87 state, with the Xtender and electronics modded, and with the '85 neck and metal P knobs.

Thank you!that, right there, is fabulous.
Agree Peavey would have made a home run with a "Patriot Plus".No slight to the Patriot, it's a fantastic bass on it's own.
However, for a guy (like me) that prefers two pickup basses, it's even more useful and toneful than the Foundation or a Jazz bass.
I use all three pickup selections on my Patriot.
I only use solo neck pickup or a blend of neck and bridge on the Foundation.
