Then it is very likely factory, those parts are Peavey only.
Here's a custom job for you. I got this bass a while back, i thought I'd share it here. It was shipped in its case, no box, all taped up. Thanks to the bombproof, yet unhandy original HSC it arrived unscathed...
I would think so too. It would be interesting to see the tuners from the back. Mine are the ones that look like schallers but maybe are grovers? The bridge is almost identical to a Gotoh 203, but I agree it seems unlikely they were all replaced with stuff that looks that stock. Plus, it's not like peavey is any stranger to gold hardware.
Oh good, I thought it was a sharpie or something. I love Peaveys, so I hate seeing them mistreated. (even bad mods ;-)
When he started playing the Rush, it sounded surprisingly Ric-ish. I actually think it's a pretty decent mod. Looks good, adds different sounds. I looked at that pickup a while back because from the dimensions I thought it might fit in the existing pickup route, but I never had the guts to try it. I wanted more beef than what the original pickup has, but I don't know if that pickup would help. Seems to add more grind.
I put another SF in the Ric spot. That was my intention from the jump and is fully why I had to get a Patriot--to make a Ric sounding instrument for a non-Ric guy (me!).
I found a killer 87 and routed it out for the pickup, side jack and 3-way switch. I later found a wide nut 85 neck and Hipshot Xtender for it. I love it!

Well worth the efforts and time to do so. Plus, I have a cool Ric sounding bass that cost me all of $300 total in parts.
Peavey should have done this two pickup version as the 'Patriot Plus,' or something to that effect. Given that the early 80s saw their bass and guitar lines morphing from the T series into Peavey versions of the classics (Fury=P, Foundation=J, Generation=Tele, Falcon=Strat...), so a Patriot Plus would have been their Ric 4001/4003 while the stock Patriot is like a 4000.
No slight to the Patriot, it's a fantastic bass on it's own. However, for a guy (like me) that prefers two pickup basses, it's even more useful and toneful than the Foundation or a Jazz bass. I use all three pickup selections on my Patriot. I only use solo neck pickup or a blend of neck and bridge on the Foundation.
Agree Peavey would have made a home run with a "Patriot Plus".
I think that most two pickup basses would be better with their pickup placement like what you have.
I don't like the sound of the bridge pickup on the Foundation or the Jazz Bass (and many others)... all too close to the bridge IMO.
I'm a fan of one pickup basses in the Precision spot, the MusicMan spot and the Mudbucker spot against the neck heel.
When it's a two pickup bass I want one of them up against the neck heel, the other can be in the P spot or in the Stingray/Patriot/Ric spot.
I picked up a Patriot with a horribly bad neck today for $60. I've never seen a yellow one before and was wondering if this was a stock color. The pickup sounded weak and it read at 5.26k, so I'm thinking about putting my Alef aluminum neck on it and routing it out for P bass pickups. Any advice and comments appreciated. Here's a pic of the body with the pickguard off after a light buff (some of the finish damage won't buff out)
