- Peavey Patriot Club -

When I started my thread I was very happy and glad to see that there is some interest for Peavey Patriot basses, because it is very hard to find something on web, and I want to help everyone who want some information to have everything on one place. So here is some kind of ''official'' thread only for Peavy Patriot basses.
Let's go!!! Post your basses and enjoy!!!!

I bought my Patriot in 1985. The foam in the case
melted and ruined the paint job. But I played it any
way. My son played it also,

about 4 months ago I painted it with ColorShift paint,

Now it has ROTO RS77LD flats on it. Those strings make
it sound awesome,

OK, I have three Patriot basses (plus a bunch of other Peaveys). First up- white with black hardware, rosewood board, J-width neck (the top one in the photo):

Next- ash body, maple p-width neck (the one in the middle):

Finally, mahogany body, same neck specs (on the right):

I'll have to take some individual photos someday.

I have one idea! I want to put another supper ferrite pickup in the neck position, my goal is to copy Rickenbacker pickup positions, I think that pickup on Patriot is on very similar position like a bridge pickup on Rickenbacker, both basses have single coils and they are passive...so...does anybody tried that configuration and what do you think is it possible to capture sound similar to Ric?

Tab that is one of the best looking paint jobs on a bass. I am not a big fan of multi color paint, but that thing is beautiful. I should have my Patriot in less than a week, will post pics when it arrives.

What's with the lack of love for MNAirhead? This guy has to be one of the most knowledgeable Peavey guys on TB.
