I want to put one super Ferrite pickup near the neck to somehow simulate Rickenbacker positions and to add little bottom to the basse, I think it would be killer

I'm bidding on the green one on ebay, and was thinking a very similar thing last night. I think it would sound pretty good, considering the super ferrite is a good sounding pickup.

I will defenitely try to do this as soon as I can, wire it vol/vol/tone/tone and voila, close enough

I still feel like it doesn't have that throaty brightness of a conventional rick tone. Absolutely on the right path, but the mids feel focused differently than on a rick tone. Jeez I want a patriot lol.
I agree with you, after all patriot is beast on it's own but it can get really close to wanna be Rick sound with the right strings and little bit of EQ-ing and like I said in my posts before that neck pickup would be awsome, extra low end with warmth and roundness.
Finaly I've made youtube sound review of Patriot, I hope you will find it nice sounding and you'll buy it.

Here is new clip, I put Rotosound Monel Flats (40-100) on my Patriot, oh what a sound, I missed flats really much. In the past I had Steve Harris set but this gauge is better, easier to play, tension is not high like I thought it would be, it's perfect, I can set low action and playability is still there.

Here's some crappy pictures of mine.. It's currently in parts right now and I'm starting the body re-fin next weekend, now that the weather is getting nicer out. I originally traded an M-Audio midi controller for this (which I received from a friend), so it was basically free. It was from a local highschool music teacher and was a student bass. You can tell from the damage it's been well-played, but it still sounds better than it looks in these photos.
It appears to be an '87 according to research I've done on the serial number. Going to be taking the Dremmel to the hardware to buff it out and make it all look nice and clean. The body is getting a complete sand-job and rattle can finish in "Safety Yellow." I might try and find some black hardware that's compatible with it, or make necessary mods to have it accept new machines/bridge. The pots work okay, but I might replace them and experiment with different values and such.
The neck is in mostly okay shape. It has a crack in the wood at the E-string machine hole. It doesn't affect tone, tuning or play-ability. There's also a long score mark down the fingerboard, but this is just in the super high-gloss finish. I'm not a gloss guy, so I'm going to take it down to a satin finish. The frets are also worn pretty bad. I'm going to do what I can to fix/level them. I've debated having it re-fretted or just pulled altogether to be a fretless.
While it's in overall playable shape right now, my end goal for this bass is to have it refinished and in excellent shape so I can hand it to my boy when he's old enough to start playing. I figured, what better first bass than a USA Peavey?
