Peavey PRO 2000 ??

That head has been on the Peavey website for over a year but nobody I know has played, heard one or even seen one in person. They look cool though. Peavey was supposed to build a mono 800 watt version as well as a 1200 watt version of that head but they dropped the idea because they would be too expensive.

Peavey is stepping up in a big way with that head and the VB-2 and VB-3 thats in the works. I'm waiting on the VB-3 .

The Tour Series heads are decent too. I have played around with those at GC and have liked them better every time I mess around with one.

No I don't think they ever built any of the 800 or 1200 watt versions for sale.

I believe they decided to only go ahead with the Pro 2000. I think they decided they could sell a 2000 watt amp at that price point but not the lower power versions.

i have one..... it's built in the usa. i'll take a pic thursday. it's at my rehearshal space. it's sounds really good. i've had aguilar, ashdown and ampeg. it's on the same build quality as those. it's rediculously loud, clean and versaitle. the only thing that i don't like is the d.i. is pre eq only. a cool little feature is, there's a l.e.d. in the back when you turn on the amp so you can see the back. i have it in a 2 space soft rack bag. i really think it weighs more than the stated 25lb's. i'll have to weigh it. i rehearse 3 nights a week and gig 2 a week with it. it's held up well so far.
