So we set up for an out-door gig yesterday with a banjo, 3 mics, guitar, bass through our old stand-by powered mixer and it sounded absolutely terrible: we ad to crank the thing to max volume to hear it and it was extremely distorted. Mics and instruments directly into the mixer, no DI's.
Luckily we brought all of our own amps for backup, but any ideas on what our issue could be?
