Peavey Tube Head CHEAP in La Mesa

jordan,

i tried. but dealing with the employees at my GC is like taking to a wall. maybe i can just get a peavey classic 400 used in the future.

Chris,

Call the Birmingham, AL Guitar Center at (205) 824-6454 (I think...) and ask to speak to Bill. He is one of the assistant managers and is over the guitar section. Tell him you know Jordan Stevenson and that I suggested calling him to help you order a VB-2 because your GC is being difficult. He can call around to another store, grab a WORKING UNIT off the floor, and have it drop shipped to your house. He is great to work with. Just let him know.

After I received my first one that didn't work, I requested that the GC employee on the other side of the phone verify that the floor model worked and sounded as should before shipping it to the GC in Bham. They did it (Manuel in Miami) and I absolutely love the tone I'm getting w/ my 810e and my Hot Rod Jazz.

My first try at uploading an image to TB. So far I am really happy with the VB2, it sounds great to me on this 1x15" with an upgraded 300w Eminence Delta. I'm looking forwarding to trying it on my NV610.

Finally it's back in my clutches:

It came back sooner than expected so I take back those things I said about the service dept and the horse tranquilizers :o They replaced the fuse (why directly on the circuit board?) and threw in a new set of EL34s. I took a 1/2 day off from work yesterday so I could be around for the FedEx guy. It showed up about 20 min after I did so I went right to it. It's been a while since I heard the lushness of all tube and the VB-2 delivered - and then some. This head just loves to get along with my three basses (an MTD Grendel 5, modded MTD Kingston Artist 5 and EMG/Haz knockoff equipped Spector NS2A four banger) and my ported cabs (Avatar Neo 212 and 112). It's loud enough that my neighbor three houses down cared enough to call me and complain. Made me feel 16 again :bassist: I've got a show tonight so I'll give a more detailed analysis after the maiden voyage.

What do you know...he loves beer! Glad he worked it out for you. Did you tell him you know me from TB? Just curious...

i think i referred to you as "my buddy jordan" lol. funny story. the one you got originally i tried to try out at the gc here in memphis. told the manager it didnt work and offered to bring it to the counter. they said nah we got it. two days later it was still sitting there... still not working

Those STINKERS sent that piece of crap down to me in Bham non-working! I figured they knew that it didn't work before hand but now my suspicions are confirmed. That grinds me to death! I specifically asked my salesguy (not Bill) at the GC in Bham to ask them to make sure it worked. Of course they said yes...On my second go around though I could not be happier!

Kind of odd having to ask if a brand new amp works or not.
