Peavey USA Millenium

Any peavey Millenium USA comments? I just bought a 5 strings one at ebay for 550 it is in pristine condition, I think it has the same preamp that the Cirrus has, this bass sounds incredible and love the sweep mid control it took me some time to learn how to use it but once I learned it ,this bass is a tone machine and is super ponchy and powerful, I love it!!.

Millenniums have a strong cult following on TB. They are great basses that were just made at a time when Peavey decided to drastically reduce the number of basses they make in America. I just picked up a less than pristine Millennium four last Monday $100 myself.:hyper::bassist::D

More USA Millennium comments in this thread than you can shake a stick at. The Millennium preamp is different than the Cirrus preamp. The Cirrus pre has no mid sweep.

The Millennium preamp is what the Peavey Custom Shop put in Cirrus. The production line Cirrus had a preamp with no mid sweep. I have upgraded all the Cirrus I've owned, plus a G Bass and a GV to the Millennium preamp. And I thought it was an improvement in every case.

I also have a Mill 5 Plus and it is awesome.

Congrats on your new bass!

Now post pics! :-D

Most Millenniums were made in Asia. The easy way to tell is the Asian-made models have ''BXP'' on the headstock.

They have more than one version of headstock logos, too. The newer headstocks are different from mine, below.
This earlier version has passive pickups w/ 3 knobs & was made in Indonesia, two J pickups, and weighs 8 lbs. 7 oz.
