peavey zodiac bxp reveiw?

the zodiac bxp is a great bass fast narror neck jazz style and has the p/J conf. pickups, nothing bad to say about it ,it really growls, but I have to say I'm sorry that peavey discontinued this model. I pickup a butterscotch color in Feb. from axemusic brand new for $248 they have free shipping plus there from Edmonton.
I'm from Parksville.

You might do a search. :rollno:

These were around US$160 after stacked discounts, delivered, a few months back when they were presumably closed out at MF. I asked around and the reviews were that they were mediocre Chinese instruments with spotty QC. Some were OK, some were junk. :hmm:

I passed. They were kind of goofy-looking anyway and I didn't want to risk buying another sub-par cheapy just because it was on long sale.

It's better to play a few and choose between them. Most I've played aren't that great, but I found one of the butterscotch Zodiacs that played great and has a super-straight neck. Of course, I ended up modding it with EMGs and a Hipshot bass trem, but before all that, it was a really good bass. The pickups that come stock are 4-conductor though it's wired as a 2-conductor so you have the option of wiring the bass for different sounds.
