Peavy Millenium BXP Bass

I know this is a starter bass, but it is currently giving me a lot of joy. I just wanted to know if there was anything special or unique about it. I picked it because it felt good and played the best in my price range. I got $50 knocked off since it has a very very miniscule chip in the neck.

It also matches my amplifier.

ALso Noobie question, but Im curious about how I can manipulate the knobs on this bass, What each one does and how I can make it sound. Stuff like that.

You'll notice one is your volume control, the other is your pickup selector. Turned towards the bridge of the bass is your bridge pickup (you'll notice quite a bit more treble then any other setting), turned half way is a blend of your bridge & neck pickups, and turned towards the neck of the guitar is your neck pickup.

The other is your tone control which just basically limits the amount of treble you'll have going into the amp.


Those BXP basses aren't bad at all... especially for the money. They make great starter basses. Im glad you enjoy yours! They sure are good looking units for the price point as well, and play equally as well.
