um yeah... I'm thinking about getting my day off switched away from the day that I get paid so there will be less temptation.

I can't stop. My only saving grace is that I get rid of a pedal as soon as I deem it unusable (to me).

Seriously guys and gals, GAS isn't a recognised medical condition for a reason. What's the problem? No harm, no foul. As far as I'm concerned it's a victimless crime (certainly when it comes to multiple fuzz pedals), if you feel that things are spiralling out of control then you could maybe operate a 'one in, one out' policy via the miracle of eBay. Yes, you may only have two feet, but you also have only two ears, and how much music do you listen to? Multiple pedals are a way of influencing the evolution of the Human form; our children's children's children will thank us for the extra foot (and thumb!). As you were.

Yes I do, the problem is the people that keep bring up the word "intervention" they don't get how useful they are and how pedals are like paintbrushes and paints, you need different colors and ways to apple those colors to achieve a tonal landscape of beauty!

Before I got in my current band, I didn't use effects AT ALL. Playing in an "artsy" band, where the guitarist uses an eBow for a lot of stuff, and walls of delay and distortion really make you wonder what magical things you can add to it by getting some effects.

So now I have about 9 pedals, with another 4 on the way.

How do I *you* stop the addiction? Most of my guitar playing friends don't have even close to the number of pedals I have or even care that much about it.

What is it with us?.... seriously?

We're fine, really... it's the OTHERS that are the problem !
