Pedal between two cabs...can you do it?

Hello,

I'd like to put an effects pedal between to 8ohm cabs in series. Is this goin to fry anything?

Also maybe this is more of an amp question but on a two channel amp could I run an 8 ohm load on one channel and a 4 ohm load on another. My power amp can handle 2 ohms/

Only the pedal, the output of the amp, and possibly the speakers. Other than that, you're good.

Seriously, pedals are for instrument level signals, not speaker level.

Assuming you mean that the poweramp will handle a 2ohm load per channel you can run one 8ohm cab on one channel and one 4ohm cab on the other provided that you have the amp set to stereo as opposed to bridge mono.

I don't know what will happen if you try to run a pedal between cabs like that, but I think you'd be ill advised to try it.

DO NOT DO THIS.

You will kill your pedal, and as already said, possibly your amp and/or cabs.
