Pedal delima

Ok so the first 2 are my pretty much set,vmaybe get a Peterman tuner for the buffer on the 2nd board, and move the Korg tuner to 3rd board . the 3rd will be my digital board for that I'm looking to get the Atlas, spectrum and areos looper from singular sound. But the other pedals all though really great I can't really see using at this point. what would you guys do? Sale them all? Keep some? Thoughts?

It’s okay to have pedals that you aren’t currently using, especially if they would be difficult to buy again like those compressors.

It is good to have choices as we never know what tomorrow will bring. Unless you absolutely positively hate a pedal or know you'll never use it or can easily replace it ~ keep it.

Hopefully this doesn't sound flippant, but I don't own them and I've never played anything in the last picture, so they hold exactly zero value to me. If it's common and easy to buy again just sell it. Anything borderline you could put for sale with a rather high price and see what offers you get. You already know the keepers.

Only 10% at most of your pedals are a true support. The rest are tone accents, garnishes, adornments etc. In real time application, you shouldn't have a use for them all on a steady tone diet.

For anybody who is experimenting with tone (clearly you are), your tone preference, as well as bass preferences on a different level are always cyclical. A dynamic moving target. Collecting pedals is legit. Having several unique options available to swap in and out is legit. Having a use for them all on a regular basis? Very little opportunity or need.

Sell if your bored of them and keep refining. That journey ...is... the actual journey. There is no tone destination other than than the current one you are working on/at/towards/goal etc...even if it is pretty close to the previous goal...or even a tone goal from the past. If you are a tone head, it will come around again.

Have fun if you can.

You can never have too many pedals. Especially dirt pedals. Or compressors. Or delays. You don't have any delays? C'mon, how do you know if you like stacking delays if you don't have more than one? Don't short change yourself. And reverb? And preamps? You have work to do.

I’d keep some and sell others. I’d probably redo the boards. Buy some pedals. And get a new bass. An amp, too.

If you’re asking if you should sell the Source Audio and other digital pedals, I say maybe but leaning toward “no” because there is so much flexibility there. If you get into a real livetronica band you’ll want that MiDI/digital firepower and flexibility.

Of the pedals you've shown there are only a few I would sell, like the Smoothie, the MXR BoD, the Diamond comp, and the MXR block text Phase 90. And those just for personal preference.

Now tell us all about the MojoHand Wonder Filter.

I don’t sell pedals very often. I put them into my “pedal graveyard”. Usually a couple years later, they become zombie pedals, and crawl back on the board.

The mojo hand is great very flexible. Much easier to dial in your desired sound than the micro Tron. It can get super quacky or not just one of the greatest filters I've played with. The mix function is also unique for a filter so you mix in just the right desired amount of the effect. Granted I've only have the MXR, Tron and the fonkbeta. Forunatley I was able to get one from them before the stopped production.

I have 3 pre amps . I don't have any music that I play that would require live use of reverb or delay

Definitely keeping the digital board but it's a work in progress. The last pic are the other great pedals I have, but can't see using them anymore or so I think.

fwiw, whenever i sell a pedal, i discover an unanticipated need for it, some time between 6 months and 20 years after selling it

Ok here's the first board again with some of my additional pedals...I like this set up as it gives me more tonal options the Bass station is great for this next I'll try my PDR.

More seriously--a dilemma is misused today for a choice that may not be easy--but it's really damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario--so in this case--whatever choice is made, you get pedals & bass--which is cool.

My most serious answer is that if you like it, and it woks in your musical context?

Now that I got the Atlas and the ultra wave I have 5 sa pedals and looking for a spectrum. The digital stuff is very different extremely flexible but the sound it more polished for lack of a better word. Very different from my analog board where the sound seems more direct. It's hard to explain you have to hear it.
