Pedal EQ with selectable frequency

Hey everyone.

I tried Guitar Rig 5 at my friend's house and I found some cool equalizer, and was wondering if you had schematics to build a similar, diy version, parametric equalizer for bass.
Here's the one I'm talking about:

The one I've got my eye on is the Craig Anderton Super Tone Control, project 17 from his book Electronic Projects for Musicians. You can [whisper]download[/whisper] the chapter on the internet, as I think it's nice to read what he has to say about the circuit. You could always just see the schematic. If you like this project, you might consider buying the book.

Edit: if you want one with the same controls as the GR5 one, you'll probably have to mix and match a bit. For example, you could use the Craig Anderton one with another mids band tuned to a higher frequency.

I had planned to build one of the BYOC parametrics myself one day but ended up caving and buying a well priced used WMD Utility Parametric EQ on TB which is pretty much the bees knees in my opinion. It is only three bands, but the frequency ranges of each band overlap enough to get me just about anything I am looking for in an external EQ (which is mostly extreme midrange sculptability as my amps do the rest very well). So if you can't find a good DIY option, I would highly recommend the WMD (I also owned and liked the Empress ParaEQ pedal, but much prefer the WMD for the continuous and more extreme Q ranges).

Damn, those WMD/Empress/BYOC cost too much for me, unfortunately :(.
The versions posted by Pollinator and Woodbass look cool, no Q unfortunately though. But it's a good start. I might have to mix parts from different sources I guess. I'll see read the articles you posted and see what I can come up with. Thanks!
