Hello! I created a channel specifically for effect pedals demoed with bass! The first episode is the infamous Boss OC-2: Please give it a view and subscribe if you like it! We will post a new video every 2 weeks or so. Cheers!
I watched all the videos now; In the time it often takes to watch just one video on other channels. I now know all I need to about each pedal as the information is presented succinctly, without fluff. The playing was MUCH better than it is in the VAST majority of these kinds of videos. No superfluous wordage, such as life - stories, pathetic attempts at wit or humour or information not directly relevant. A calm, inviting and engaging screen without any gimmicks, allowing me to focus on what's important. Really good and a channel that I would subscribe to, if I did that kind of thing (Well, I have put it on my 'reading list).
First off, thanks for making these videos. They are simple, easy to understand and not too long. However, the last video with all the hands moving pedals all over the place was a little distracting. I don't think all that added "production value" really added anything at all. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
I was going to say that having "lice" in the name of a channel isn't very appealing. (See the thread title.) But then I clicked on it and it is "ice", not "lice". Much better.
Thank you very much! That was the main goal of the channel; to do bass pedal demos as simple as possible with every important information presented. Thanks! We kind of experiment with the new video format on that last one, because I wanted "uninterrupted" loop with audible changes between different settings... but the result turned out a little bit clumsy. I just realised that I made a mistake in the thread title! I will try to fix it... Name of the channel is actually a diminutive of the word "pedal" in Croatian with the colon between the actual word and the extension - which is "ice" in English. Just a silly play with words. It was a working title, but it obviously stayed!
I think you have not only done that , but also managed to cut out all the fluff, soooo many spend so much time on. And again, the playing I heard , is far superior to that heard on almost all of these kinds of videos! Again; I really enjoyed watching them! The hands in the one video was an accident. Yes?
