I’m about to start working on building a board DIY at home.
I know of the general guidelines of pedal placement order often suggested (wah/filter, compression, overdrive, modulation and pitch-based effects, delay, and reverb) but wanted to listen to more experienced players or possibly learn something I haven’t yet heard; I may not have the same pedals others do, of course.
Besides the Tuner, Compressor, and Noise Suppressor, I haven’t really used the others in a chain; I just messed around with the distortion and the envelope filter but it was really fooling around nothing serious.
My pedals are:
