OK, so this is kind of a little general for this forum, but I'm curious of Justin's opinion (and well the other guys that frequently post here) because I respect his effect usage and experience. Not to disrespect others in the forum at large, but I feel like we get to the point a little more concisely here... Most of the time. ;^)
I'm putting together a new board so I can have all the pedals I use frequently in one place for gigs and sessions and stop the constant swapping. (But we know that'll continue because I'll buy more...) At present on the old board, I have everything nicely patched into a bypass strip I got from Pedalboards.com years ago. My question is should I get additional bypass loops for everything, or is it OK to just have things chained together when in "true bypass" mode?
Obviously a couple of my older pedals and weirder stuff will be on the strip I already own because they are definitely tone sucks, (in cool ways sometimes) but I guess I'm a little apprehensive about things that are advertised as "true bypass." And any thoughts about the Lehle buffer box and the like too?
I'm likely thinking about things a little too much now, but screw it!! If I'm gonna put all this gear I've acquired in one place, I'd rather think too much about it now and on an Internet forum than when something is less than great when I'm on the clock on a session, you know? If you're going to do something, do it right.
