Pedalboard wireless that doesn't drop out?

I'm using a Line 6 G70 and when it's stable, it's great. But even if I'm standing mere feet away I'm getting dropouts. Sure, it could be WiFi interference, but that can be an issue anywhere and unpredictable since WiFi is ubiquitous. Anyone have good experience with a wireless unit, preferably a pedalboard unit and I know there has to be some newer and better tech out there.

I've heard good stuff about the GLXD16, but I gotta say I've been using my G70 for seven years and have never once had it drop out on me, even in my apartment building, which I presume has a lot of wi-fi interference. Are you on the most recent firmware for the transmitter and receiver?

+8 on the Shure GLXD16.

I danced with Line 6 for quite a while and LOVED the G30 and had zero issues with it over the years. Got into a better band and felt I needed a better wireless setup so graduated to a Line 6 G75. Big mistake. Like, REALLY big. I fought that system forever and almost swore off wireless altogether based on my experiences with it. Someone convinced me to try the Shure GLXD16 and the ONLY time I've had an issue is when I space out doing a frequency sweep to find the appropriate channel after everyone is setup and has their wireless units active. Rock solid piece of kit.

Never experienced that from my line 6 g30, nor my older model. I can get a good distance from it and only get a natural delay, but no drop out.

I'm not familiar with your unit but it could just be that one. I wouldn't give up on line 6, mine is the beat cable-like sound I've ever gotten from a wireless.

I run sound for a band that is using the Xvive system for two guitars and bass. No dropouts at all and my G 70 is flaking out when I'm right on top of it.

I do like that the G70 has a 1/4" input and uses batteries so you won't forget to charge.

Been using the G30 since 2009 or 2010, I don't remember but its one of the two.
I may have been lucky, but I have had zero dropouts playing in a wide range of venues.

Are the newer units really more prone to dropouts or is this a lucky/unlucky with the environment thing?

G30 user here,

Only one venue (that relies heavily on 2.4ghz band) gives me frequent drop-outs, and in tour, we encountered a venue where they told us specifically to not use digital wireless for the same reason.

Also, I have drop-out if the receiver is too close (colser than 2 feet away) from my IEM transmitter, or if I forget to turn wi-fi off and keep my phone in my backpocket.

The only thing I don't like about the GLXD16 is it's latency, which can get a little high esp if you're running through a digital mixing console and using IEMs. The GLXD16 can hit 7ms of latency, plus 2-2.5ms through a digital console. 9-10ms is where it gets really noticeable to me, and the GLXD16 is right on the edge of that.
