Pedalchain Recomendation

First off I am a noob with a pedal fetish

I went out and bought a few new pedals today and have no idea in what order to run them. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! So far this is what I have for pedals

Korg Pitch Black Tuner
Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah
USA Big Muff Pi
BBE Opto Stomp Compressor
Onerr Hydrogen Flanger
Onerr Nitrogen Chorus

Grab some patch cables, grab some beers/women, and go nuts. Whatever sounds best to you, is best. Personally I'd have that setup like:

bass > fuzz > wah > flanger > chorus > compressor > amp

and leave the tuner out of the chain, but that is just me.

I just rearranged my board a few nights ago, it's a constant process.

I'll just offer a small bit of help. As far as your wah and your distortion, placing distortion before wah is more subtle (distorting the wah) whereas wah after distortion is more pronounced (wah-ing your distortion). Distortion adds a lot of higher overtones and the wah placed after the distortion will really emphasize this, especially in the toe-down position. The same princilple applies to the flanger and chorus- they will sound more pronounced when placed after the distortion, again because they are effecting a distorted signal.

Of course, the above is only true when the distortion is on.

Sounds great for now

I went out today and picked up a Boss GEB-7 EQ pedal

Should this go at the end of the chain?

it depends on how you want it to sound. I've been told it should be before the modulation (chorus, flanger) effects, but I use mine afterwards. My amp is set to with tons of midrange, decent highs and a good amount of lows, the EQ pedal is set to a V shape, and it works in conjunction for a good metal tone with a light distortion from my MXR Distortion+

I'd probably have ended up with something similar... With the eq i'd probably throw it in after the fuzz and before the wah. I like playing with a post distortion/fuzz eq, and if the fuzz is off you have a different eq option going into the wah.

Try it a bunch of places too though, it really just depends where in the chain you find it best to tweak your tone. Just take a little time and see how much of a difference it makes in different places.

Tuner aside, I like to run a flanger at the beginning of my chain (especially for your setup as flanger and chorus are pretty similar).

You should get a Boss LS-2, use it as a blend and run the EQ and chorus on one channel, everything else on the other. This is super practical -- you'll maintain a sweet low-end no matter how much you effect your signal.
