Pedals that stayed on your board the longest?

I don't have an actual pedalboard, but I've owned a Bass POD for about 15 years. My oldest fx box is a Lexicon MPX-500, which I've owned for 19 years.

I meant more specific pedals, not the effects. Has there been a model or brand that's stayed?

It was TU-2 > Digitech Badder Bad Monkey (bass mod) > Boss Fender '63 Reverb. The Digitech has been there 10+ years, the Boss 2+, but those three pedals have always been the sequence: Tuner > OD > Reverb.

Scott Humphrey does a GREAT mod to the Bad Monkey; there's both a guitar and bass version. He did me some favors and I recommend him as a good guy to do biz with: Link Removed

I recently changed tuners but not the sequence; now the tuner is a Korg Pitchblack Advance.

My trusty Boss PS-3 goes back to late 2006. I started playing in the Spring but by Winter I needed to add some effects. This was the fourth and only one that has stayed.

What stuck around? What became a part of your sound? Did it finally move on, and if so why?

My longest running favorite has been the Darkglass B7K.

Note: it's not part of "my sound" because I don't have a sound. I change my tone depending on which band I'm playing with, and which style(s) of music I'm playing (hard rock/metal, classic rock, R&B, country, oldies, pop, funk, etc etc etc). But even if I played just one style in just one band, I would still change my sound: Because Variety.

I almost always dial in at least a bit of overdrive at the gig. B7K is my favorite for rock, but I have other rock pedals, and other pedals that work for traditional-sounding overdrive/distortion.

My favorite gig setup is 3 dirt pedals, and I stack 2 or all 3 for hard rock tones. For other styles I might use just two dirts plus a compressor, or just one dirt, or just a compressor... or nothing at all. I'm fine running totally clean, but my ears prefer overdrive of some sort.

CAL Grizzly Bass. Perfect for Mild gain/OD. Thickens the bass perfectly.

Ampeg sub blaster octave is the only pedal that has lasted since it was first purchased around 20 yrs ago. I am still trying to get it off my board since so big and clunky but the tone is unmatched. I am trying to get some Hedra presets to dethrone it.

I have to agree with the Bassballs guys! But do repeated stints count? I don't have anything on my board that hasn't been replaced. I've had a Bassballs almost constantly, and other than having tried the Nano once or twice, and the Sweeper once, I always go back to the 90s NYC version. I just think it sounds better than the Nano. (I think the Mooer sounds better than the Nano too, actually!)

The other 2 pedals I keep going back to are the BAssmaster and the Octron2, but for some reason they haven't hung around nearly as long as the Bassballs.
