I dig it man; replace the MXR with a Groove Regulator it'd be my dream mini.

This week's PT Mini:

The Maxon PH350 is, hands down, my favourite phaser, but for the sake of a PT Mini I'd like to track down a smaller phaser. Any thoughts (Jared)?

My aim is to cram a micro looper and a compressor onto this board.

nice!!!!

hey Lindsay, where did you get those connectors you're using for the micro fuzz?

that BEF looks familiar! :)

how do you like the micro fuzz?

i love mine!

I bought the connectors at a small music shop in Australia. I have no idea where to get more. If I could find more I would buy more.

I like the micro fuzz. The fuzz tone is good. I would also love to have a 'gated' micro fuzz (Max??) for synthier applications.

I'm still interested in your micro trem/phaser/etc. When you get bored of it let me know ;)

I'll play....here's mine. Looking to swap the halo for an analogman mini.

swap the ebs with an mxr m82

swap the vt bass with an overdrive.

annnnd the compressor seems like a pos.

I'm getting closer to what I want.

My signal chain is: Turbo Tuner > Loopmaster Bypass Loop > Wren & Cuff Phat Phuk B > Tech 21 VT Bass.

In the Bypass Loop: MXR Bass Octave Deluxe > Groove Regulator. The Source Audio Bass Distortion is in the loop of the Groove Regulator.

The rest of my rig is a 99 Stingray 5, Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0, and either a Schroeder 1210R or Bergantino HT322 cab.

Nice board, Modulator. Are you able to record any soundclips? I bet the Bass Distortion in the GR's loop sounds awesome!

Also, have you considered flipping the PT-Mini around so that the lip of the board is on your side of the board? I did it when I was using a Mini with a Source Audio BEF to keep the pedal from hanging off of the edge.

I don't have a way to record any clips right now, unfortunately. It does sound really cool. You can get a really cutting, squelchy synth sound with the GR's feedback switch in the up position, or mellow it out a little by flipping the feedback switch down.

I did try it the other way after seeing your pic a while back, but with the Lava cables I'm using the overhang isn't really all that bad and I prefer it the "regular" way.

After looking at my pic again, I ended up doing a little more cable tucking to make it look a little cleaner. Now all I need is to find one of those cheap digital clocks a few of you have to put over the VT Bass and maybe one more micro pedal to squeeze between the Phat Phuck B and the loop pedal.

Been thinking about a Mini for a while now as an alternate board and just had a trade deal fall in my lap that included one! Probably won't be my main board, but will still be functional for any gig.

I'm currently debating between two setups, which will depend on how much I like the Xciter (item #2 in trade deal). The pink-ish box is the bypass loop (trade item #3), which the previous owner included in the trade deal because he didn't need it... He was using the Mini as an "extension board" and used the loop to bypass the whole thing. I haven't found a use for it yet, but I will!

The Multicomp is just on there for now, for lack of anything else I currently want to put on there more at the moment. I'll find something... ;)

I never thought I'd say it after spending many hours/iterations and much money getting the main board set up... but I'm already digging the Mini!

5sg.

Okay, setup #1:

And here's the second setup. Won the Bass Attack from Larry Hartke himself on Facebook, and it's a SURPRISINGLY handy tool: DI, EQ, Shape Circuit AND overdrive. And it just happens to sound great! The Bass Attack is way underrated around Talkbass, IMO.
