Just put this up in the PYPB thread, and now it's here...

Chorus is gone/replaced by the circa-'78 modded-for-bass Muff, which makes the Hyper Pak look even smaller than it is. The Muff is still in a shoot-out against my also-new-to-me Devi Hyperion...

Yup, loves me some Voodoobass :)

With the settings there and a mix of 60%dry/40%wet I get a very nice, grindy yet full-sounding dirt tone... think of Claypool's sound on Wynona's Big Brown Beaver, only beefier. Fiddle with the knobs a bit and you can tame it A LOT and use it to warm up your sound. Then again, play a Ric through with aggressive fingers with the mix and settings as as pictured and you can't help but feel satisfied :)

I heard some people say that it doesn't sound that great through SS amps. It sounded pretty good through my old SS rig, but it sounds even better through my hybrid head (Ashdown ABM 500evo II.) Somehow it seems to just get on with the slightly-overdriven preamp valve REALLY well :D

I'd definitely have to agree with the hybrid amps getting along well with it. It really likes my Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0, and wasn't too shabby on my MarkBass LMT800 either. :D

Posted in the PYPB a couple days ago.
600D is going to do battle with the El Capistan (should be here Monday),
AM Chorus is going to battle a custom Cosmichorus (next month),
the TAFM plays tag-team with the Gray Stache,
and I'm looking at possibly an Angler for before the 4545.

Oh, and the 4545 is going in for a fix, and a mod or two.

Are most of you folks taking your output of your pedatrain to a separate DI (that goes to the house) and then a line out of that to the amp?
So your wet signal is being amplified correctly?

My setup goes straight from my bass, through the pedals, and directly to the amp. Our PA system sucks too much for me to be running through it. :bawl:

However, I do feed a line off of my amp's onboard DI to be mixed into our IEM's.
