Pedulla Rapture 5 String

Does anyone know of a good luthier in the Hudson Valley New York, that can replace a truss rod on a Pedulla Rapture.

this is such a tricky and expensive repair, i would definitely consider shipping it to someone rather than go to whoever is local.

best guitar luthier I know of is fitzgerald guitars, but he's on long island and about a 2.5 hour drive from you.

I'm aware of several really, really skilled and experienced luthiers who opt for making a whole new neck if it's a bolt-on rather than try repairing a broken truss rod. I know it can be done, though.

best of luck. I've always loved pedullas, particularly the one-pickup rapture design. fingers crossed you get a good result for a reasonable price!

Shoot me an email and I'll see if I can find someone local for ya. [email protected]

I got sucked into a couple old threads on here recently specifically about replacing Pedulla rods. Seems like a pretty decent project, but not impossible. Maybe someone with more experience with the brand will tell me it's not as crazy as those threads made it look.

I can't comment specifically to Pedulla, but Martin Keith did a great job replacing the truss rod on my old Carvin LB70, and he even managed to seamlessly re-install the same fingerboard rather than needing a new one. I'm not sure how often he does projects like that anymore as compared to building his own guitars, but the Martin Keith Guitars website still lists repairs among the services. At the time he did my repair his workshop was in Saugerties, NY.
