Double Bass Persichetti: Parable XVII

Does anyone have a recording of Parable XVII, Op. 131 for solo double bass by Vincent Persichetti? I know it was written for Bertram Turetzky, and have scoured the internet trying to find a recording of Bert playing it, but to no avail.

I learned the Persichetti piece in part by watching Fausto play it when we were in school together. He may have a recording. Good Luck!

I think it is on Bert's first LP. I will look when I get home. He also wrote an incredible, clear book on 20th century harmony.

Yes, there is one student playing it on YouTube, and its pretty good! But I'd still like to locate a "professional" recording. (No offense, Mr. Brandon Mitchell!!!) I will try Fausto Borem...why not. And, damonsmith, I wonder if that LP is still available? Assuming it has the Parable on it, of course.

It isn't on any of the four Bert solo LPs I have maybe on the the one on ebay for $400! You can, however still get that LP from http://www.rastascan.com he bought out the advance catalog years ago.
