PETA vs Seaworld

Just an example of good zoos do:

The Detroit Zoo is helping aid the survival of a turtle species whose egg-laying pattern makes it vulnerable to predators and cars.

The zoo says that Blanding's turtles normally travel up to a mile away from their aquatic habitat at the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, which is southwest of Saginaw in Saginaw County's Spaulding Township.

The zoo says the travel make the turtles susceptible to getting hit by cars when crossing roads, while raccoons frequently eat the eggs the turtles leave behind.

In an effort to protect the eggs, 93 were collected and incubated at Herpetological Resource and Management near Jackson. The hatchlings have been divided between that center and the Detroit Zoo for further growth.

They'll be released when they're 4 inches long.

In my mind zoos are meant to preserve animal species and share the joy of animals. Personally I would prob never get to see a tiger of it was not for zoo's. I think sea world is different though. They are after the golden $. They may say that they aren't, but there actions say other wise.
