Wow i cant believe i am going to admit something like this.

I actually like something about pete Wentz:eek:.

My little cousin got his sig at guitar center or sell for like 180$. It is kinda designed the way i built my MIM fender up with no tone.

It actually sounds good and is a nice bass. it feels solid the neck feels nice i think the color scheme is ok. I really dont dig that bat heart design crap, but i think its better the the VM squier i played .

So i had to say it, good bass i believe the normal price is 300$.No my cousin does not like fall out boy he went to get an affinity and this was 20$ cheaper so he bought it without playing it. Way better deal.

The fact that Pete Wentz is the worst bass poseur ever keeps me from ever buying that bass. It does look pretty cool and apparently sounds nice. I just don't want to give that douche any of my money. It makes me sick to watch him try to play bass like it's an acoustic guitar!!

Thats what scared me at first when my cousin came over with the bass,

I am 19 and remember at 14 or 15 every one like fall out boy yuck!

My cousin is 14 so i automatically said you like fall out boy ! and he said no this was 20$ cheaper than the affinity. i think its a good bass for 300$ and at the 180$ price he paid i would have bought it.

Yea pete really sucks at bass. If i become famous i am staying on this site so i can listen to people bash me , but i cant ever be bashed like pete. The guy plays as good as most 14 year olds on new years after they got the bass on xmas.

BTW

Fender made the little bass for his son its only a one off no others were made. Its actually string through bridge and looks nice.

I bet his baby plays better than him.

Pete Wentz takes a lot of flak for his less-than-rudimentary bass playing, but it fits the genre. And, no one ever mentions the fact he co-writes the lion's share of the songs, which means he is laughing about his bass playing all the way to the bank...

I always liked the looks of his bass though (sans bat tat, like everyone else said). I like the idea of relicing it. Maple fretboard, yum.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. That guy is a major tool.

I own one. Fantastic bass. I have a hard time deciding between it and my 57RI P-bass!

And please, all you dudes bashing the guys playing, give a listen to Folie a Deux. Some good, tasteful playing going on there. If Wentz sucks then I'd hate to see what you all think of my playing, as were very similar in style.

I'm not sure this means anything more than the fact that he's rolling in dough and has a dozen basses sitting back stage being polished and tuned by his own personal bass roadie while the hot girls in the audience sing the lyrics he wrote while shaking their tight young booties. Yeah, poor Pete...

If that's a tool, I'd be a "tool for a day." He's not just laughing all the way to the bank, he's also laughing at all the jealous fools.

He is famous because he is in a band that makes music that people enjoy, buy, and go to concerts to listen to. Furthermore, the other three guys in the band don't seem to want to be celebrities as much, so it all gets channeled through the one guy that wants the attention. It's all fairly simple to comprehend. The question you need to ask yourself these days is whether or not you want to be a celebrity. Just about anybody can become a celebrity if they can get a camera to focus on them long enough, but I don't want to be a celebrity. Sure it would be cool to make music that a lot of people listen to and the money wouldn't hurt, but being a celebrity is a business by itself. You have to play the game and want the attention. Is that something to be jealous of? If not, then who cares why people like Pete Wentz?

The video was a joke about the bass.

And, just because he is rich doesn't make him less of a tool. Would I like to have his money? Absolutely. Would I ever act like him? Nope. I'm not jealous of him. I just don't like him. Again, I would love to have his money.

Tons of rich people suck. Spencer Pratt (media whore from The Hills) is very rich guy but he has reached levels of douchedom that I could/would never achieve. Being rich doesn't excuse acting like that. And he does suck as a bass player. As someone said, he plays it like an acoustic guitar.

Great point msiner. And I'll go a step further: Any guy who bothers to log in here to slam Pete Wentz is a jealous toad. Get off your butt and do something about it. You don't have to be anything like Pete, you can do it in any style that you think is worthy of your massive talent and ego, but I dare any of the Wentz-slammers to get even one hot girl in the audience singing the lyrics to your song (no, I didn't mean your girlfriend or your mom). Go on noobs, show the world what you got.
