I lived in State College for nearly 30 years and Peter was one of the best bassists in town. He's also an amazing fine artist/painter and an all-around great guy. I own his prototype J-bass, built before he started the honeycomb process and making his own necks. The bass is beautiful and an excellent J, it just happens to be made of solid swamp ash and weighs... um... more than this particular 70yo wants to hang around his neck for three hours.I've used it in the studio and pull it out to practice when I need a J sound. If I save my pennies maybe I can buy one of his new, lighter ones.
Im lucky to call him a good friend! Ive been his mechanic for about 8 years now. He made a trip up to the track when I was running at Watkins Glen this fall. Might be getting him to some track days in his BMW this year i hope!
