Double Bass Peterson Tuner

Anybody tried the 'Peterson Stroboclip Clip On Strobe Tuner'on your DB? Did it work well for you? As thinking of getting one. Tried various clip on tuners in the past--some better than others.
Are the non-clip on tuners--like the Boss TU-12H--better than the clip on variety?
Your experiences most welcome.

It works as well as any other clip-on tuner and better than most but I had battery life issues and haven't used it for a while except to keep a bag of chips closed. The $10 Peterson Strobosoft iPhone/iPad app works just as well.

I've been using one for two years. Works better than any other clip on tuner I've tried. Peterson had to send me the round pad for one side of the clip after mine fell off. They actually just sent an entire replacement clip, sans meter. Glad they did, because a couple of months ago the swiveling side of the clip got lost. So, I've cannibalized two clips and one meter head to have one working tuner. BTW, it was long out of warranty when they replaced the clip at no charge.

I use one, it works well. The swivel connector on top of the clip that holds the meter and post cracked on mine after about a month of use and Peterson sent me a new clip/swivel assembly. I haven't swapped it out but it's nice to have a spare assembly. I've also used a TuneTech TT-500 clip on that also works very well. Strobosoft on the iphone is also useful.

I used the Peterson clip-on and did not like it. While "real" strobe tuners are wonderful, I found the implementation of the strobe display annoying and less precise in terms of tuning than the much less expensive Snark clip-on. So far, the Snarks are my favorites.
