Phil Jones Amp Questions

I've played guitar a couple of years but brand new to Bass. I've got a couple of friends that have been getting together and playing guitars and singing classic rock stuff (Tom Petty, Aerosmith, etc.) and I joined them last night with my Phil Jones Double Four on bass.
It went well and the Double Four sounds great but was not quite enough volume. So I'm trying to decide if I should buy the PB-100 Powered cab. But I don't know if that would be enough when we find a drummer or if I should just opt for the PB-300.

I'm leaning toward the PB-300 but then I get confused as to why I wouldn't just go with the Suitcase Compact, Flightcase or Super Flightcase which aren't that much different in price.

Does anyone have a good handle on the differences in these amps? Is there one that really stands out over the others? Or one that I shouldn't consider? Is one a newer model and another an old one that is about to be discontinued?

So many questions. ANy guidance wwould be appreciated.

I have a super flightcase and for small venues I think it sounds excellent. Got the red one, looks cool too.

I have no experience with Phil's newer expandable cab line, and of course that adds up in $. But I play bass guitar and a Steinberger CR5M EUB through my the super flightcase, and I think it sounds great.

Of course, there are limitless options out there. Check out the newer Boom Bass Matrix for something completely different, but in the general dollar ballpark.

Good luck with your quest.
