Phil Jones Bass Cabinets

Good day;

This question is for a pro or novice: Have you had any experience using any of Phil Jones bass cabinets? I'm particularly interested in anyone who plays electric or acoustic bass that have ever plugged into an amp connected to one of Phil Jones' largest cabinets like the PJB 16-B or 24-B cabinet.

The only pro I'm aware of is Bob Babbit and he's also one of the spokes persons for Phil Jones. I'm looking for an unbiased opinion of the larger cabinets. Thanks.

I played one for about an hour straight and it still stands out as my all time favourite amp experience.

lots of low end, but a very natural, strong, genuine low end. Very responsive, very transparent, but still fantastic sounding.

It was a lot of fun to play because it did everything I wanted from a bass rig at medium volumes, not the very loud volumes that I would otherwise require from an amp to get the job done.

Wish I'd have had a day of jamming to try it out.

I use the 6T/9B regularly at gigs, and I still remember the comment my friend in the audience made the first night I used them. After the show, he told me that when we started the set, he was going to signal for me to turn up a bit, but then he realized that he could hear everything I was doing, it just didn't need to be as loud and booming to get over the rest of the band anymore. I found this interesting.
