Double Bass Phil Jones BIGHEAD as a DB pre-amp?

Hi everyone,

So I got one of these little fellaz for practice some time ago, love it on electric stuff.
I was wondering how they might go for DB duty?

I haven't got a pickup (yet), so I can't report one way or another, just wondering if the input impedance might work with a piezo pickup?
FWIW: I may end up buying something like a HPF regardless.

The bighead has an input impedance of 2 megaohm (according to an email I received from Phil Jones), so it should be good with most piezos.

When I use my bighead with a EUB I often wish it had a LPF built in. Otherwise it sounds good...
