Hi Folks,
This is my first post.
I'm new on bass and just got a PJ Double Four to use while I learn. I've had it about a week, and so far I've played along with some reggae tracks using the Aux in, but nothing above bedroom level.
Today it has suddenly started making a weird feedback sound on my low E and A when I play open strings. It happens at all levels of input and master volume, a bit less when I dial back the bass, but it's still there.
Not happening on fretted notes. I've moved the amp around and made sure nothing was touching it and also tired a few different cables (Lava cables).
Note: I'm using a passive bass but it happens regardless of low or high input.
I'm thinking that I have to return it. Do you agree?

Thanks for your help!
Larry
