Phil Lesh now has a Hartke rig I guess...

So I noticed Phil was using a hartke rig a couple of days ago..wonder if he ditched the eden rig or if he uses several different configs...curious what the two rack mount items with the EQ on them are? Pre-amps?...they look too small to be heads...but could be..any Hartke fans know what is going on here?

If you do a GIS for Phil Lesh Hartke, there are some pictures from the last couple years of him playing that rig. There's also one where he's playing a different hartke head and a Subway D800, but not sure which is being used.

They look like Hartke HA5500 heads to me.... maybe even older 3500 models. The graphics are blurry when I zoom in.

Difficult to tell, you can see the new bridge design (individually adjustable single bridge units) which debuted on his third new Alembic, Dream Fyre, and I think Balerion had the new bridge design retrofitted after that. Khaleesi, his first new Alembic, was medium scale - not sure about the bridge situation there.

Those are heads, they look a lot like my 3500 although they might be a different model... gonna have to try those eq settings

Yeah those are just standard Hartke heads. A lot of them have the EQ section like that.

I wouldnt call it noodling. But more the 'art of non repetitive groove'

The older Hartke 25/3500's are indestructible and pretty water-resistant. Apart from having remarkably good sound, they'd be great for worry-free outdoors. I loved mine when I had it but ultimately moved on because it was heavy.

I agree, The Hartke rig is a TXR standard for him. I have seen him with Mesa stuff too several years ago. I think the player from Midnight North and him will share rigs where Phil will sit in or something (I may be wrong though).
For big gigs, I believe his go-to is still the Eden Head but he has been using Myer Sound Cabinets for quite a long while. They have EQ shaping capabilities for the cabs via software.

I have a pair of the Hartke HD-112 cabs and they sound great!
Been playing them hard for about three years using both a Mesa D-800 and a Tone Hammer 350, no problem.
The speakers are half aluminum and half Kevlar. Also the cabs can switch between 4 and 8 ohm.
