haha my p bass is rosewood but thats what it came with.

I really have no preference, but if i was buying a new bass which i never do i'd go maple.

My future bass

AV 1957 reissue p bass white

EBMM stingray HH white/matching headstock and maple board:D

somedayyyyy

Did you guys ever hear of PMs?

But I personally like, and want, a P5. I think they look awesome. And the black and maple is the color scheme I would go with.

You so have too teach me that PM thing!!! Plus it says my pm thing is 93% full and I'm too lazy to empty it!

I thought that was the whole point of this thread! :hyper:

If I got one I'd get the sunburst/rosewood... I like it, I've played it! And I don't even like rosewood!!!

Man. If I can try to extract the original point out of this thread...

That P on J in shell pink was enough to convince me what I need to do for my first from-scratch build.

A bit of photoshop on my own and:

I've been looking for an excuse to start building under my theoretical "Guitar Forge" and "Bass Forge" lines. This will definitely be my first, after I make the headstock robot ninja monkey lawyer proof.

Unfortunately Audere doesn't make a two knob J plate, so I'll have to roll my own with an aftermarket plate and one of their cubes. Man that thing is epic.

Buy a blank plate and drill your own holes! :hyper:

It looks like it has something missing, I can't quite put my finger on it... can anybody help me?

That's what I'm going to do. I've just sent an email to Audere asking if they can sell me one of their 3ZB1s with two stacked pots, Vol/Mid and Treb/Bass.

What it's "missing" is something in that huge gap between the darkstar and the bridge. The darkstar was located to make the strings line up, it would be closer to the edge of the pickguard, and the entire thing might end up scaled a bit. A standard P pickguard goes WAY closer to the pickguard to break that big space up. I think it's why I don't like pickguardless Ps.

LOL its because of the open space it leaves i agree it would not be pretty looking . I just dont like jazz bass bridge pick ups i always turn the volume down on them.

has anyone seen a reverse pj?
basically a jp , meaning a jazz pick up in the neck position and a p pick up in the bridge position. I kinda want to mod a bass like that just so i can see how it plays.
