Piccolo bass strings

I've been looking for a set of piccolo strings (the +1 octave ones not the E-C ones) and have only come across ones for long scale basses, i'd be using mine on a longhorn (short scale) so should I just use ones of long scale or do i need to keep looking?

I wouldn't worry about using long scale picc strings. If I recall correctly, when I had my piccolo strings, they weren't tapered, or if they were, it wasn't noticeable. They're so thin you won't have any problems winding them around the tuner. So go for it.
