Piccolo effect

I am beginning to think about a couple of solos for Christmas and think that perhaps the piccolo bass would sound a bit brighter.

Is there a pedal that can raise the signal an octave up and does it then sound like a piccolo bass?

The only pedal I have today is a Zoom B3 and I really only use a small bit of compression.

Thoughts/Suggestions.

The Whammy or the Electro Harmonix POG can do that. It won't sound really natural, not as a real piccolo but you'll get a good octave up.

None of the available pedals track well with multiple notes. If your solos include chords, forget it.

The good news is that for the price of one of those pedals you can get an inexpensive bass and a set of piccolo strings.
Some of the basses that sound worst tuned standard (short scale, semi hollow, humbucker right at the end of the neck, etc) sound great in piccolo tuning.
Generally all you have to do is re-intonate and adjust the truss rod and you're good to go.

The B3 you have has 3 very good pitch shifters that will do an octave up and 2 octaves up. The HPS will automatically harmonize pitches based on key and mode.

Another use case looking for feedback on for the octave up effect...

Just found out our guitarist will not be playing with us next Sunday, leaving Keys, Bass and drums. Perhaps it will help fill in the sound if I play with some type of octave up. We will practice on Sat so I will see how it sounds.

I tried my B3 and can not get any of the patches to sound anything like what I hear when I listen to a real piccolo bass. Oh well.

Agree that the B3's pitch-shifting isn't the best. The Bass Whammy is pretty good and gives you a lot of options, however the cheapest option is the Mooer Tender Octaver. I just got one and it replaced my Bass Whammy, surprisingly good for the money.
