Pick a Bruce Cover

I would like to get some opinions on which Springsteen song would make a better cover and some reasons why. a band I have been playing with are trying to decide,,,we are going for songs that people would most likely want to dance to, and also something that would be easier to play, since we are mostly novices at this point:confused: #1 No Surrender

Here's the Springsteen songs I've played:

Born To Run - Fun to play, not very hard. I have a chart I made up for that one. PM me if you're interested.

Hungry Heart - Another favourite of mine.

Dancing In The Dark - OK tune, but I've never been really satisfied with how it works live (at least in the bands I've played in. It sounds a bit "flat").

Born In The USA - Not really a good song live unless you put a lot of effort in making a really good arrangement for it.

Edit: Just re-read the post. Oops, I thought you asked about Bruce Springsteen songs in general. :hiding: I'll take a listen and come back then...

Edit 2: Can't open the links. Say the first one contains a malformed video ID, and another message pops up on the other one.

Anyway, use the crowd to determine which song is better. Play both and see which one attracts more people to the dancefloor....

I found this music video of Radio Nowhere:

Both songs were unknown to me, but out of these two, I liked No Surrender more. It seems to be a better crowd pleaser, it's happier and more energetic. I just wonder, are these well-known songs? If not, I'd probably pick another song. If your objective is to get people to the dance floor, you need songs that people recognize.

Btw, I forgot to mention Glory Days on my list above. It's a happy, catchy tune that might please the audience as well. I only did it once, and at that time I had difficulties sing it and playing the bassline at the same time so I couldn't really get the groove going. I think it would work better now... :)
