Pick up config questions...

I have a Kingston Heir that I want to mod up.. I have a set of Hipshot tuners and a Hipshot A bridge.. (although I am considering changing that to a B bridge) and an Audere PZ4 (V,Bal,M,M,B/T) pre. I was considering pups and after considering Barts, Delano and Nordstrand I decided on Nordstrands. The pups I am considering are:

NJ5 or NJ5S for the single Jneck pup

and

MM5.2 Lakland for the MM bridge pup

I want to put a switch in there to split the coils as well.

My questions are:
  • The stock J pup on my Heir is a single coil. Should I replace it with another single coil (NJ5) or would a dual coil (NJ5S) HB J pup (which is what I would prefer) be fine?
  • I settled on a dual coil MM pup because I didn't want the added confusion to me of trying to deal with a quad coil pup and the extra wires and options that would present and since the stock pup that is in there is a dual coil I figured I'd replace it with that. The Audere is a completely different animal and I have no idea where I would place the MM pup coil selector switch on the Audere because the pots are completely different. Has anyone ever done that? Put an Audere in a Heir, 55-02 or a MM bass with the coil switching in or is that something I should just forget about in this case? Below are links to two of the diagrams that I think pertain to what I am trying to do. I got them [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I am considering that given the flexibility of the PZ pre to adjust each pup I might just be better off forgoing the attempt at installing that feature and just install the pre as is and see what I get but I had to explore the initial option a bit more to see if I was biting off more than I could chew to do what my original plan was.

Well I guess with 45 views and no responses this is a lost cause.. so I edited the title and as an update I had an epiphany anyway.. Y'see I have a 55-01 with a LH3 pre and bart Mk5s in it.. so I got to thinking .. Why even bother trying to figure this out with the Audere in the Heir.. Just take the Audere and put it in the 5501. Leave the series/parallel switch in the 55-01 .. drop in the Audere.. and take the LH 3 and drop it in the Heir.. with the Delnos that I decided on after I went to order the Nordys and they were backordered a few weeks.. and basically I wind up with a 55-02 in a MTD body. I can just follow the Lakland diagram .. but now I do have another question entirely...

Are those jumpers? Those grey lines going across the poles of the switch? When I solder the wires to the switch I am thinking that according to that diagram I should go all the way across on all 3 wires. Is that right?
