PickGuard Change Thundebird

Here is the story...

got some extra cash and I am moding my epiphone thunderbird, the initial idea was just changing the pickguard from black to white.

we thought it would be cool leaving it just transparent and took some pics from it
i am leaving this to you and waiting for some good bassist help

so, what do you think?

Hmm, it leaves it missing something. Lots of folks will suggest white or black or tort, but I think a burgundy or another "off" red color would really set that bass a fire! With an etched thinderbird. Another thing I noticed is how hassle free is it to remove that pg, not having to remove strings, only 8 small screws etc., you can have many different styles / colors of pg and change them every so often for a different look. Even change for every gig. Make sure you show pics. with what you decide. Sweet looking bas nonetheless.

i was thinking the same, in fact, i am totally sure i want a white pickguard, the thing that i dont know is if i am going to order an extra "clear" pickguard. but it would be with a white "bird".
it would be nice to be able to change pg once in a while, its so easy.

I've made several for my Gibsons from .060 styrene stock, they're cut out first then drilled. These two were masked and painted with an airbrush using lacquer paint.
