I bought a Jaguar about a year ago, LOVE IT...

Very versatile, tons of tonal possibilities, and it's never been produced before now, so it's only going to go up in value. The CIJ craftsmanship exceeds all of the Mexi mades and IMO is every bit as nice as the MIA Fenders. The only colors I've seen in the US are Red & Black, but there ARE white ones made & sold in Japan apparently, because I saw one on Ebay a few months back.

Good luck!

From the list supplied, Jag all the way. I love my sunburst Jag (and so does just about everybody who lays eyes on it). I bought it from Ishibashi in Japan and, after settling on TI Superalloys last year, I no longer automatically reach for my P bass when it's time to play or practice. It is extremely versatile in terms of tone, a dream to play and is dripping with that "it" factor. I realize that some people love the way the Jag looks, and some people hate it. (But find me a bass that is universally loved as far as looks go.) While the look of the Jag motivated me to buy one without ever playing one first, the tone and playability are why I will not be selling it any time soon.

Long live the Jag!
