I have a 97 fender am dlx jazz that has a faulty bridge pickup (John Suhr's). I can have the pickup rewound or I can replace the pickup, in which case I'll replace the entire electronics.
So...
Rewind the pickup?
Or...
Replace electronics?
I was thinking East J-Retro Deluxe and Nordy jazz splits. What other pre/pickup combos sound great together for a new/old jazz sound? I love the active/passive switch option, btw. East/aggie? East/fralin? I love nordys but not sure what the rest sound like together. I'm also NOT a fan of the nordy pre.
