pickup change on squier P bass

Hello, i have an old Affinity series squier P bass, and im thinking about changing some stuff in it. (Most importantly the pickups) As said i wanted to change the pickups to something that is a lot better. I really no nothing about pickups. Could somebody please aid me in the right direction towards where to buy pickups, or one that they have experienced that sounds great.

the seymour duncan quarter pounders, their used in the mark hoppus bass also. they have a thick punchy sound.

Those pickups have a little too much punch into em for me Im loooking for something with a warmer tone. Thanks for the help.

I put an active EMG in mine and love it.. You can pack the battery into the existing routing with no problems. Make sure you change out the pots while your in there. You will thank me later..... Good luck! Dan

I put these in my Mexican Fender P-bass. Best improvement i could have made. They sound much deeper but are very clear with mids and highs. Not nearly as dramatic as the Semour Duncan quarter pounders, but a HUGE upgrade. what a P-bass should sound like. Plus they drop right in NO problem. took me 5 min. Dont let the "62 original" scare you either, they work for just about anything not just vintage stuff lol
