Pickup has lost low end

Hey guys, got a weird one
Have an American p bass that I ended up buying another neck for to make it fretless. Bass was working perfectly and had no issues. dropped it off for a service and i got it back today and the pickup seems to have lost all of its low end and is super trebly.
anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Electronics shouldn’t have been touched. I got the tuning head put on because the ferrules were slightly too big, got the action set up and the nut adjusted

Can the pick ups be raised?

This guy does great work if you want to go the rewind thing.
